F X S T 1984 - 1985 FXST Front view                   FXST Back view                   FXST End view FXST 1) In order to install the LBV Rear Chain Tensioner, you must access the rear left side, in the area of the sprocket and chain cover. 2) Remove the lock nuts from the chain cover mounting bolts. It is not necessary to remove the bolts. 3) Install the chain tensioner-mounting bracket on the inward protruding chain cover mounting bolts. Reinstall the lock nuts and tighten. Note:Before installing the tensioner mounting plate, rotate the roller assembly so that it will bear under the lower chain throw (about 45 degrees). Hold in this position until the tensioner mounting bracket is engaged to the chain cover mounting bolts. ______________________________________________________________________________________
